Votre équipe

La division Corporate Functions regroupe les activités non bancaires du groupe Pictet et compte plus de 600 collaborateurs. Assurées par des spécialistes connaissant parfaitement l’ensemble des lignes de métier, les fonctions centrales se répartissent en divers départements: Audit interne, Communication, Compliance, Corporate Office, Finances, Fiscalité, Juridique, Ressources humaines, Risques et Sécurité de l’information.

Le département Fiscalité Groupe, basé à Genève, a pour mission de gérer la situation fiscale du Groupe, en se conformant aux dispositions légales et réglementaires en vigueur ainsi qu’au dispositif de contrôle des risques, à veiller à la réputation de Pictet et à entretenir de bonnes relations avec les différentes administrations fiscales.

La Fiscalité Groupe cherche un/e expert/e en fiscalité pour intégrer l’équipe Group Tax Guidance, chargée principalement d’assurer le déploiement des politiques fiscales dans les différentes lignes de métier du Groupe et d’agir comme conseiller et guide fiscal pour ces dernières en leur apportant un soutien technique en matière de fiscalité.

Votre rôle

• Contribuer à assurer la mission de l’équipe Group Tax Guidance, en soutenant les Tax Leaders en charge des lignes de métier suivantes:

• Opérations bancaires et opérations sur les fonds,

• Trading,

• Corporate Functions.

• Effectuer des recherches et fournir des conseils concernant divers aspects des fiscalités suisse et étrangères en lien avec cette mission:

• impôts directs et indirects (impôt anticipé, TVA, taxe d’abonnement),

• fiscalité des produits structurés et dérivés,

• taxes transactionnelles,

• rapports fiscaux adressés aux détenteurs de parts de fonds.

• Réaliser des évaluations de risques fiscaux et concevoir des stratégies de réduction des risques.

• Collaborer avec d’autres départements afin de veiller à la prise en compte des aspects fiscaux.

• Participer à la définition des politiques et procédures fiscales appliquées au sein du Groupe.

• Suivre l’évolution du droit et de la réglementation en matière de fiscalité.

Votre profil

• Diplôme universitaire en droit ou en sciences économiques.

• Entre 5 et 10 ans d’expérience dans le domaine de la fiscalité.

• Expérience acquise au sein d’un cabinet d’avocats ou de l’une des quatre grandes sociétés de conseil: un atout.

• Capacité à travailler de manière autonome, en faisant preuve d’esprit d’initiative.

• Esprit d’analyse, allié à la volonté de résoudre les problèmes, et capacité à remettre en question le statu quo.

• Connaissance des opérations bancaires et de l’administration de fonds de placement suisses et luxembourgeois.

• Volonté d’apprendre et d’acquérir une compréhension approfondie dans des domaines techniques.

• Maîtrise des applications MS Office usuelles.

• Maîtrise du français et de l’anglais indispensable; connaissance de l’allemand: un plus.

Your responsibilities
Join the Mechanical Engineering team within the Physics Department (EP-DI) and contribute to the DUNE experiment — an international collaboration pushing the boundaries of neutrino physics. We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to support the mechanical design and transport analysis of detector components.
Responsibilities:
• Structurally assess the impact on the DUNE Vertical Drift CRP detectors during transport from CERN to the United States.
• Take part in the CRP transport testing campaign to verify mechanical integrity and performance.
• Create finite element models and perform static and dynamic finite element analyses, as appropriate.

Your profile
Skills:
• Experience in structural or civil engineering.
• Solid experience in finite element Analysis (FEA), preferably (but not mandatory) with ANSYS.
• Knowledge of European and/or US mechanical standards and regulations.
• Ability to work in a team, flexibility and autonomy
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, experience in international environment is a plus.
• Spoken and written English, with a commitment to learn French.

Eligibility criteria:
• You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State.
• You have a professional background in Engineering degree (or a related field) and have either: • a Master’s degree with 2 to 6 years of post-graduation professional experience;
• or a PhD with no more than 3 years of post-graduation professional experience.

• You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.

Your mission

We are seeking a Trainee (PWM Fund and Manager Research) to explore the evolving landscape of ETFs, with a focus on the risk profiles of active and passive ETFs across different markets. Your role will involve investigating how these products manage market-specific risks such as political instability, currency fluctuations and liquidity constraints. You will develop an innovative quantitative algorithm to screen investment universes, pinpointing critical risk factors that influence ETF performance.

Collaborating with experienced long-only fund analysts, you will analyse historical data to identify patterns and propose strategies for risk management tailored to diverse market conditions. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain predictive insights into manager performance across various investment contexts and time horizons, contributing meaningfully to the advancement of investment strategies.

Your role

• Assess the product suitability of the existing ETF scoring model: Evaluate how well our proprietary algorithm scores ETFs for equities and fixed income, given market shifts over the past decade.
• Identify new risk factors for enhanced ETF analysis: Research and identify additional factors that have strong explanatory power for manager performance, particularly in the context of active and synthetic ETFs.
• Integrate new factors into the scoring algorithm: Modify the existing model to incorporate these new risk factors, improving its relevance and accuracy in today’s investment landscape.
• Analyse risks and opportunities in synthetic passive investments: Explore the specific risks and opportunities associated with synthetic passive ETFs, integrating findings into the updated scoring model to better inform investment strategies.

Your profile

• Master’s student in Finance/Economics, Statistics or Data Science
• A keen interest in financial markets, empirical finance, data analytics and data visualisation
• Proficient in standard IT tools (MS Office, Tableau, SQL, VBA; R, Python is a plus)

We provide Financial Planning and Analysis to the Lombard Odier Group management and its business lines. The role is about coordinating and checking financial inputs with regards to LO Group main revenues and costs, to ensure a comprehensive monthly financial and analytical reporting. Besides, we seek at re-engineering our financial controlling approach through deeper IT automation.

YOUR ROLE
• Produce monthly variance analysis of LO Group P&L, and related documentation
• Take the lead in enhancing the Group financial controlling through the development of  monitoring tools/dashboards.
• Prepare analytical entries for processes not yet automated
• Coordinate financial reporting with the business lines budget controllers
• Play a key role in the budget and forecasts process.

YOUR PROFILE
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role in the banking industry
• Genuine interest for financial controlling and accounting rules.
• Knowledge of private banking business models, including interest margins, fees and commissions.
• Good technical skills, including an excellent expertise of Microsoft office (Excel);  knowledge of SAP and Tableau would be a plus;
• Strong attention to detail, precision and analytical skills;
• Curious, flexible, open minded, solutions oriented;
• Team player with good communication skills;
• Fluent, both written and orally, in English and French;

Your team

Technology & Operations design and integrate software applications ranging from portfolio management systems, trading platforms, banking solutions and HR tools. The team is responsible for some of the Group’s key innovations while sustaining business operations and developing custodian and funds administration services.

Our programme will provide an opportunity for you to gain extensive and market-relevant work experience. You will work alongside 400 IT professionals, who will share their know-how and skills with you, on specific projects incorporating new technologies.

Your role

A one-year maximum duration contract, that will include a series of rotations (lasting four to six months) with a number of departments and units within the Pictet’s Technology & Operations division. You will be assigned a mentor for the duration of the programme.

Your profile

• Higher degree (EPF, HES or university) in the fields of information technology, communication systems or management information technology.

• Various internships carried out in parallel to your studies, particularly in software engineering.

• Ability to manage small projects independently.

• Highly motivated, with a keen interest in new technologies.

• French mother tongue, with a good command of English.

• Must be resident in Switzerland.

Your key responsibilities

• Focus on providing tax support to a wide range of businesses, from SMEs to multinational corporations, across all operational domestic and international tax areas

• Assist clients with tax analyses, preparation of tax compliance filings and tax rulings, and contribute to corporate structuring and rationalization projects

Using the world’s largest and most complex scientific instruments, they study the basic constituents of matter – fundamental particles that are made to collide together at close to the speed of light. The process gives physicists clues about how particles interact, and provides insights into the fundamental laws of nature.

Introduction
The Engineering Department ( EN ) provides CERN with the engineering competences, infrastructure systems, and technical coordination required for the design, installation, operation, maintenance, and dismantling phases of the CERN accelerator complex and its experimental facilities.
The Accelerator Coordination & Engineering group ( ACE ) coordinates the activities for the interventions and changes to the LHC and its injectors.
The mechanical technical engineer participates in the pre-design and 3D integration (a.k.a 3D coordination or spatial integration) of accelerators at CERN, including major mechanical components, infrastructure, and systems. He/she is also involved in producing and maintaining these 3D integration studies. One of the largest accelerators is the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), with its 27 km long and 8 access sites, which has been operating since 2009 and will be upgraded in the next Long Shutdown from 2026 to 2030 (LS3).
He/she can lead 3D integration studies for projects and associated teams of designers (ex. graduates, students, industrial support) and prepares the documentation for the 3D integration studies under his/her responsibility and communicates it to all relevant parties.
Functions
As a mechanical technical engineer, you will:
• Perform 3D integration studies, assembling models from design offices (mechanical, technical infrastructure, civil engineering) using CATIA V5, and ensuring that the reserved space for transport and survey is available;
• Pre-design or contribute to the design simplification of the 3D integration studies of infrastructure (e.g. metallic structures, transport and handling components, etc.), general services (e.g. HVAC, electrical systems, etc.) and accelerator components, with respect to the interfaces from infrastructure and general services;
• Perform 3D laser scans and reverse engineering, in particular by using point cloud generated by laser scanner;
• Produce and/or control layout drawings;
• Report and prepare the relevant documentation for reporting to projects;
• Present the results of the studies during relevant meetings;
• Technically supervise work from industrial service, graduates and/or students.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in the field of mechanical engineering or a related field.
Experience:
You have demonstrated experience in:
• Conducting 3D integration studies for large and complex facilities, ensuring proper interface between mechanical components and building infrastructure (PDM/PLM context);
• Performing reverse engineering using 3D laser scanning and processing point cloud data;
• Creating detailed 3D models of mechanical components;
• Producing technical 2D drawings.

You also have experience in:
• Using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, preferably CATIA V5;
• Managing standard CAD items within a Product Data Management (PDM) system;
• Supporting validation and approval workflows within a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.

The following would be considered as assets:
• Experience with CAD format conversion and/or simplification;
• Knowledge of accelerator components.

Technical competencies:
• Integration of mechanical systems;
• Production of 2D drawings and 3D models: applying drawing standards;
• Design and analysis of mechanical structures.
