Why should I Apply:

At Sonar, we’re a group of brilliant, motivated, and driven professionals working hard to help organizations build responsible, secure, high-quality code quickly and systematically. We build solutions that don’t just solve symptoms of problems – we fix problems at the source – source code, to be specific.

We have a dynamic culture with employees worldwide and hub offices in the USA, Switzerland, the UK, Singapore, and Germany. We believe team members should have the opportunity to come to work every day, work on a product they are proud of, love what they do, and feel energized by their peers. First, you will own the product vision for how we leverage AI to improve code quality and developer productivity. Sonar has unique insights into how code is written at scale, and you’ll help turn that vision into a competitive advantage. This means building new AI (agentic) capabilities that help developers & AI write better code, such as automated remediation, test generation, code refactoring or context as a service, where we support customers who want to fine-tune their models or agents.

Second, you’ll be responsible for how data is collected, governed, and transformed throughout our products. This includes telemetry systems, product analytics, behavior tracking, experimentation frameworks, and platform instrumentation. Your work will ensure that data across Sonar is actionable, trusted, and productized. Enabling teams to make informed decisions and power key features across the business.

This role is ideal for a deeply technical product person who is passionate about machine learning, data, and developer tools. You should bring hands-on experience in writing code, deploying applications, and understanding modern, scalable system architectures. • Work across teams to make data visible, trustworthy, and actionable. From instrumentation and pipelines to metrics and dashboards.

• Engage with internal stakeholders to understand pain points and translate them into strategic product decisions.

• Balance investments in infrastructure, governance, experimentation capabilities, and delivery.

• Evangelize a data-informed culture across Sonar, helping teams make better, faster, and smarter decisions.

The skills you will demonstrate
• A passion for building AI/ML powered features and products.

• 5+ years of experience in software Product Management, ideally within R&D, AI/ML or Data.

• Familiarity with AI/ML workflows, model lifecycle management, applied research.

• Technical fluency with modern architecture: pipelines, event-based systems, product analytics, etc.

• Pragmatic mindset with the ability to zoom between big-picture strategy and operational roadmap.

• Open, curious, and comfortable navigating ambiguity and change.

• A positive, collaborative attitude and strong communication skills.

• Leadership: you take initiative, challenge assumptions, and drive from concept to delivery.

\n
Words from the Team

Our team is made of 20 passionate teammates who make sure our products provide features developers love, in line with the company strategy. We share values like collaboration, kindness, and continuous improvement.

As our product lines expand, so do our AI and data ambitions. From intelligent features built on ML insights to building internal tooling for data, the possibilities are vast. We are always looking to implement new features to address evolving needs.

Our days involve researching new use cases, shaping the future of AI and data at Sonar, and collaborating with engineering to deliver innovative, reliable solutions.

Why you will love it here:

• Our culture and mission set us apart. We have a dynamic work culture that values respect and kindness – and embraces the right to fail (and get right back up again!). We believe that the best idea wins and everyone has a voice.
• We believe that great people make a great company. We value people skills as much as technical skills and strive to keep things friendly and laid-back while still being passionate leaders in our domains. Our 550+ SonarSourcers from 33 different nationalities can relate!
• We embrace work-life balance. It is important to maintain a healthy work-life balance. This is why we have a flexible work policy that includes remote and in-office hybrid work (minimum three days a week in the office – Monday/Tuesday/Thursday).
• We have a growth mindset. We love to learn and believe that continuous education is critical to our success. In an ever-changing industry, new skills are a must, and we’re happy to help our team acquire them.

We prioritize Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion:

At Sonar, we are a global workforce and recognize the value of different backgrounds, and global cultures.

We are committed to creating a diverse work environment and are proud to be an equal-opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will be considered for employment without regard to race, colour, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status.

Consultancy 12 months: Technical Partnerships Specialist (Giga), Geneva, Switzerland
Job no: 581925
Contract type: Consultant
Duty Station: Geneva
Level: Consultancy
Location: Switzerland
Categories: Innovation

UNICEF works in some of the world’s toughest places, to reach the world’s most disadvantaged children. To save their lives. To defend their rights. To help them fulfill their potential.
Across 190 countries and territories, we work for every child, everywhere, every day, to build a better world for everyone.
And we never give up.
For every child, Connectivity
UNICEF has a 70-year history of innovating for children. We believe that new approaches, partnerships and technologies that support realizing children’s rights are critical to improving their lives.
The Office of Innovation is a creative, interactive, and agile team in UNICEF. We sit at a unique intersection, where an organization that works on huge global issues meets the start-up thinking, the technology, and the partners that turn this energy into scalable solutions.
About Giga
Launched in 2019 as a joint initiative between UNICEF and ITU, Giga has set the ambitious goal to connect every school in the world to the internet. Half of the world’s population has no regular access to the Internet. Millions of children leave school without any digital skills, making it much more difficult for them to thrive and contribute to local and global economies. This has created a digital divide between those who are connected and those who are not, a divide that has become even wider during the Covid-19 pandemic. UNICEF and ITU have therefore joined forces to create Giga, an initiative to connect every school in the world to the Internet and address this new form of inequality.
Giga focuses on connecting schools so that children and young people have access to information, opportunity, and choice. It also uses schools as anchor points for their surrounding communities: if you connect the school, you can also connect local businesses and services. This creates opportunities for service providers to generate revenue from paying users, making connectivity more sustainable. A 2021 report by the Economist Intelligence Unit found that a 10% increase in school connectivity can increase effective years of schooling by 0.6% and increase GDP per capita by 1.1%.
Based in Switzerland with an open-source technology centre in Barcelona, Giga not only aims to provide children and young people with access to information but also envisions schools as anchor points to uplift entire communities.
You can read more about Giga’s work at https://giga.global/ and by following us on twitter @Gigaglobal

• Able to create cohesive strategies and messaging to attract and optimize the value of partnerships towards furthering Giga’s goals.
