Human by nature.Senior Global Category Manager Procurement, Facilities, Real Estate, Utilities and Waste – Your future role?As a Senior Global Category Manager, you will establish a clear global IM&S strategy for Real Estate, Facilities, Utilities and Waste according to the global Procurement strategy with a focus on value creation and bottom line. You will develop and implement strategies (and related tactical plans) to source the large spend or complex/business critical for Facilities, Real Estate, Utilities and Waste to secure supply for those categories following business plan. Operate with high autonomy and will lead sourcing teams for Facilities, Real Estate, Utilities and Waste within controlled spend.You will be based in Kemptthal or Vernier, Switzerland (on-site role with 1 day home office opportunity/week) and will report directly to the Global Head of IM&S.Your main responsibilities will include:Sourcing StrategyPromote the development and implementation of category strategies within the framework of the global procurement strategyAnalyze market and implement risk management strategies for the portfolioLead sourcing strategy development within teams including regional category managers for relevant categoriesDrive sourcing strategy implementation by leading major RFQs and important negotiationsPortfolio ManagementNegotiate contracts globallySelect, manage and audit suppliersIdentify opportunities for portfolio optimization and involve and engage stakeholders in development of optimization plansLink with Site Buyers and Regional IM&S Managers and sourcing centers to identify alternative suppliers in other geographies, deploy global strategies, contracts and framework agreements, collect supplier performance feedbackIdentify potential demand and specification changes and communicate them to suppliersManage key supplier relationship, and lead GBS escalated supplier conflict resolutionsEnsure vendor performance at target levelsStakeholder RelationshipCommunicate with key internal stakeholders/Global Head IM&S any market conditions changes which may affect the BusinessSupport the responsible sourcing projects implementation & provide information to Procurement Sustainability Manager when neededIdentify potential demand and specification changes and communicate/influence business stakeholders to drive cost improvementsPeople ManagementBuild an engaged regional IM&S organizationAttract and train necessary talent to build a distinctive organizationDevelop a strong succession plan and promote high potentials and address performance gapsCoordinate cross functional talent managementCost Optimization and Business PlanningPrepare initiative plans and forecasts following business budget cycleDevelop cost reduction projectsProvide price forecast and market trends for key commodities and servicesSustainabilityDrive the sustainability and Responsible Sourcing agenda globally for Real Estate and FacilitiesAI/TechnologyLeverage AI and advanced technologies to enhance procurement processes in Facilities and Real EstateImplement digital tools for data analysis, supplier performance tracking, and market trend forecasting to improve sourcing strategiesStay informed about latest technologies and industry trends that impact Facilities, Real Estate and procurement, ensuring we remain innovativeCollaborate with IT and data analytics teams to develop technology solutions that support procurement goals and enhance stakeholder engagementYour professional profile includes:10 years’ experience in IM&S Procurement or functional experience5 years’ of proven leadership experience in an international environmentInternational exposure in previous roleFluent in English, French or other languages are beneficialCultural awareness and adaptable to fast changing business requirementsPeople management skillsGood understanding of business needs and ability to engage with stakeholders at different levels and with different functionsGood understanding of procurement processes and systemsStrong collaborator, builds network rapidlyCI mindset and ability to Challenge current state.
