The company’s short-term priorities include building up out of engineering team, putting into place production facilities, and creating a north American subsidiary.At H55, you will work with a very forward-looking team who are changing the paradigms of air transportation. H55 is composed of highly experienced engineers, entrepreneurs and managers and is seeking like mind talented professionals who understand how to couple creativity and innovation with technical and business considerations.Your RoleAs the Hardware Team Leader, you will be part of the Design Organization (DOA PART-21J). The perimeter of the hardware team covers ECBA (Electronic Control Board Assembly) level activities related to the H55 Electric Propulsion System performed at H55 HQ in Sion. You will report to the Head of Design Organization. Your main responsibilities will include:Manage the Hardware Team (HW/ECBA): organize and lead the team towards time, cost and quality commitments. Provide clear direction and be able to filter requests to ensure they are aligned with your objectivesDevelop / Maintain the team: ensuring the team skills are coherent of the needs and establish necessary training plans to enable the team efficiencyEstablish team growth roadmap and strategy to sustain H55 evolution expectations.Manage the day to day deployment of resources complying to project and programme needsEstablish and monitor team budgetsEnsure and facilitates efficient integration with other interfaced teamsProvide reporting of the team status to Head of Product DevelopmentBe responsible for creating and ensuring the team follows standard processes and procedures, crucially as the company moves towards certificationSupport product milestone reviews by providing experience and expertiseConducts reviews of design data, analyses and test procedures pertaining to the development of new designs, methods, materials and reports to ensure technical maturity and compliance with regulatory and customer requirements. Reviews entail advanced engineering principles, company standards, and procedures. Determines required actions and performs follow-up activitiesYour profileYou have demonstrated ability to operate both strategically and tactically in highly fast changing environment. Specifically, this includes:University degree (min. bachelor) in a relevant engineering discipline (HW and product development, Power Electronics, Energy Systems) minimum +5 years of experienceBe a team player and be able to lead by example.Be able to make decisions rationally based on trade-offs between cost, time, quality, safety and performanceEnable team decisions and be able to justify them clearly, either internally to H55 or to external stakeholdersThorough knowledge of the product and ECBA development engineering disciplines, to mentor and coach team membersDemonstrated experience and expertise as team leaderGood understanding of aviation standards in the field of activityBasic understanding of EASA Part 21, EASA Certification Specifications and certification principlesExperience working in Electrical Propulsion Systems ( Propulsion unit and/or Energy storage is a plus)Knowledgeable on Aerospace processes & standard like ARP 4754, DO-254, CS23 or equivalentDemonstrated success in working as a team player, capable of interacting with people from diverse backgrounds and skillsetsResource management/Leadership skillsTarget-oriented, with analytic problem-solving capabilitiesWell organized including the ability to properly documentCapacity to prioritize, manage time effectively and multi-taskExcellent communication skillsFluency in English (oral and written), French is an asset,What we offerAn amazing work Location in Sion, Valais in the heart of Swiss Alps.A highly dynamic and multicultural environment where you can grow and learn by working on ambitious challenges to shape the future of Electric Aviation.We offer a position which contributes to valuable and impactful work in a stimulating and international environmentSounds interesting?
