Whether in ICUs, during emergency rescue transport or an MRI scan – our solutions cover a multitude of patient groups, applications and environments.How you can make a difference:You will be responsible for designing clinician-facing workflows and interfaces that are not only intuitive and efficient but also safe and compliant with regulatory standards for medical devices (e.g., FDA, IEC). You will collaborate closely with product managers, clinical experts, software engineers, and regulatory experts to ensure that usability and human factors are core to our product development process.Conduct user research and contextual inquiry with ICU staff, Nurses, and Respiratory TherapistsDesign and iterate wireframes, prototypes, and UI specificationsTranslate clinical workflows into safe, efficient UI interactionsDrive usability and human factors engineering activities per IEC/ FDA guidanceLead formative and summative usability testing and document findingsCollaborate with regulatory and QA teams to generate Human Factors Engineering (HFE) documentation for 510(k) submissionContribute to design system for consistency across applicationWork with developers to ensure design intent is implemented accuratelyThat’s what you bring along:5+ years of UX design experience, preferably in healthcare or regulated environmentsExperience designing clinician-facing or medical device interfacesStrong portfolio of interaction design work, especially for complex systemsKnowledge of human factors engineering standards (IEC, FDA HFE guidance)Experience with usability testing and risk-based designProficiency in Figma or similar design toolsExcellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skillsFurther qualifications would be an advantage:Background in cognitive psychology, HCI, or industrial designExperience with Class II or III medical device softwareFamiliarity with QMS integration for design outputsExposure to ICU or critical care environments (even shadowing experience)Learn more about career opportunities at Hamilton at .Do you share our values and feel at home in a cooperative and down-to-earth environment?
