The Global Fund aims to accelerate the end of AIDS, tuberculosis (TB) and malaria as epidemics. We invest more than US$4 billion a year to support programs run by local experts in countries and communities most in need. Since 2020, through the COVID-19 Response Mechanism (C19RM), additional funding has been made available to support countries to mitigate the impact of COVID-19.

As part of our mandate to fight the three diseases and increase access to quality-assured health products and services at affordable and sustainable prices, the Global Fund plays a leading role in global markets for medicines and technologies that prevent, diagnose, and treat HIV, TB and malaria. Every year, roughly half of the Global Fund’s investments – about US$2 billion – is used to procure key health products, ensuring they are available to those who need them most.

The Global Fund’s Supply Operations Department (SO), in collaboration across its Secretariat, is responsible for the overall management of sourcing, procurement, quality assurance and supply chain related matters, including strategy formulation and implementation, development of policy guidelines and ensure compliances, drive innovation, sustainability agenda and new product introduction, and importantly support country capacity building contributing to a more resilient and agile national health care supply chain.

To implement the Global Fund’s 2023-2028 Strategy, Supply Operations has recently introduced a new operating model, aiming to achieve accelerated value contributions to the communities and people we serve more effectively and efficiently.

The Supply Operations Strategy, Procedure & Innovation team was created to meet the evolving and pressing needs of drive more equitable access to innovative and quality assured health product in a more responsive and cost-effective delivery model, which would require strategic market interventions and partnerships to achieve. Shaping innovation and accelerated new product introduction at scale is one of the strategic interventions of the NextGen Market Shaping approach, aiming to drive equitable access to innovation and quality assured health products.

Lenacapavir for HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (LEN PrEP) is one of the most promising current new innovations, with potential to revolutionize the HIV response and accelerate significant reductions in new HIV infections among those most at risk. Accelerating its rollout is a priority for the Global Fund and its partners over the next few years.

Under the supervision of the Manager, Market Shaping and Partnership, the Specialist, Market Shaping, will coordinate the execution of the introduction strategy for the scaled introduction of Lenacapavir for PrEP, ensure on time, on budget and quality delivery of the relevant catalytic investments appropriated for the agreed interventions.

They will play a critical role in collaborating across Supply Operations, the Grant Management Department (GMD), the HIV Team and key partners in supporting the teams with the Lenacapavir for PrEP introduction strategy, project implementation, tracking and progress reporting, including timely escalation, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.

The Specialist, Market Shaping, will be responsible for coordinated stakeholder and partnership engagement and ensure an integrated and synergistic approach to catalyze and shape a sustainable market for Lenacapavir and, and alignment across NextGen Market Shaping interventions.

Key Responsibilities

The Specialist, Market Shaping, is responsible for the following activities and task as assigned.

• Lead joint planning for Lenacapavir for PrEP initiatives related to NextGen market shaping mechanisms and co-develop introduction strategies, including country prioritization, key interventions, and exit strategies in collaboration with relevant internal teams (especially GMD) and through coordination with global partners such as USAID/PEPFAR, Gates Foundation, CIFF, WHO, and others (via partnership coordination mechanisms).

• As part of the Strategy Procedure & Innovation Team, a cross-cutting team in SO, serve as the SO internal and external focal point for LEN PrEP introduction and scale-up ensuring alignment and coordination across the Secretariat and driving stakeholder consultations and partnership meetings for effective collaboration.  This includes participation on the LEN PrEP working group and bringing knowledge and practice from the market, pricing and delivery perspectives to this cross-Secretariat group.

• Coordinate the Global Fund participation in global market-shaping/dynamics work regarding LEN PrEP through relevant external partnership coordination mechanisms, including co-development of strategies and key interventions for global market partners, such as PEPFAR/USAID, CIFF, WHO, Gates Foundation and others, and, as part of this group of partners, in the interactions with LEN PrEP manufacturers.

• Working in particularly close partnership with UNITAID, create and utilize a partnership mapping of LEN PrEP SO-related implementation activities among global partners, and at country levels, the latter conducted in collaboration with the country roadmaps (i.e. Grant Management Division and Technical Advice and Partnerships Dept. country-facing roles).

• Contribute to or produce communication activities, documents, presentations, and workshops, including at governance level, according to requests from and coordination with the LEN PrEP Coordination Group.

Qualifications

Essential:

• Advanced university degree in a relevant field (master’s level or equivalent) or specific professional qualification; possible to have first degree and relevant post first-degree work experience.

Desirable:

• Business administration or financial qualification

Experience

Essential:

• Proven experience in prior strategy focused roles within global organizations, including organizational planning and implementation of strategy

• Experience working with market shaping, health product introduction in Global Public Health organizations

• Demonstrated experience in successfully delivering on strategic priorities

• Proven experience working with teams across a diverse portfolio of programs

• Experience in innovation practice in health products and services, and experience operationalizing processes to support the translation of policies, programs, or services

Desirable:

• Minimum 6 years in positions in public and private health sector, with extensive experience in the health sector and/or not-for-profit sector

• Strong understanding of HIV- related pharmaceuticals including prevention products, in particular long-acting PrEP

Introduction
The Engineering Department (EN) pushes forward the limits of technology so that physicists can carry out their research. You will join the Cooling and Ventilation (CV) group of the EN department, which is in charge of the operation and maintenance of the cooling and ventilation systems of CERN’s accelerator complex and experimental areas. The activity includes the work site supervision for installation work and commissioning of new systems, upgrade of existing systems and consolidation of old systems.

Functions
As Water treatment technician within the Cooling and Ventilation group, you will take part in the operation, maintenance and modification works of water treatment systems related to cooling plants.
You will:

• Plan (by using the CMMS system), coordinate, supervise, check and perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities on cooling plants and, in particular, on water treatment installations;

• Perform operation and maintenance activities to ensure an appropriate run of the water treatment plants;

• Regularly liaise with users for all matters related to water treatment;

• Propose and define the most appropriate solution for the water treatment in case of new systems, modifications or renovation works;

• Technically coordinate contractors’ maintenance and installation work in compliance with contractual clauses and technical standards;

• Contribute to projects from the design phase until test and commissioning of the plants;

• Write up technical reports and notes, ensuring that the technical documentation is kept up-to-date and compliant with the quality standards;

• Ensure the respect of safety rules for all interventions;

• Participate in the stand-by service.
Qualifications
Higher technical diploma or equivalent relevant experience in the field of chemistry or a related field.
Experience:

• Demonstrated experience in maintenance, operation, and installation work on water treatment plants such as reverse osmosis, softeners, ultra-filtration or granulated activated carbon filter;

• Experience in the technical coordination of external contractors;

• Experience in the use of CMMS tools.

Following experience would be considered an asset:

• Experience in low voltage electrical systems;

• Initial experience in compressed air plants.

Are you motivated by precision mechanics and interested in contributing to innovative magnet technology for particle accelerators? Join us in building the next generation of superconducting magnets at CERN.
The Magnets, Superconductors and Cryostats (MSC) group in the Technology Department (TE) is responsible for the design, construction, and testing of both superconducting and normal conducting magnets for CERN’s accelerator complex. This includes magnet cryostat design, integration into accelerator systems, and quality control, and operational support for magnet performance and devices.
Within MSC, the Superconducting Magnet Technology (SMT) section is responsible for advancing high-field magnet technologies for future accelerators. These advanced systems use superconducting materials with complex mechanical and electrical properties, with complex mechanical and electrical properties, presenting significant manufacturing challenges. Addressing these challenges requires the development of innovative materials, processes, and tooling.
Functions
As mechanical technician you will be part of a multidisciplinary team focused on the design, development, and validation of new concepts, procedures, and tooling to produce small-scale models of CERN’s next-generation low temperature superconducting magnets. You will contribute to key prototyping activities for coil manufacturing and mechanical assembly in close collaboration with engineers and technicians.
Your main responsibilities will include:

• Coil production: winding, preparation for heat treatment, preparation for impregnation and finishing;

• Mechanical assembly: assembling structural parts, electrical connections, and instrumentation;

• Inspection and testing: performing quality checks and functional measurements;

• Tooling support: assisting in the design and refinement of dedicated tooling and assembly processes.

Qualifications

Technical certificate or general secondary education or equivalent relevant experience in the field of mechanical engineering, electromechanical engineering or a related field or a related field.
Experience:
Proven experience in:

• Mechanics, manufacturing techniques, and assembly of complex systems to tight tolerances;

• Inspection, quality control, and testing of mechanical components to ensure compliance with specifications.

Experience in:

• Prototyping and of first-of-a-kind systems development, including constructing of mock-ups and dedicated tooling.

The following experience will be an advantage:

• Machining operations (e.g., milling, turning on a lathe);

• Basic experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) software for supporting the development of components and tooling.

Necessary training will be given when required.

As part of the Next Generations Triggers project, CMS is exploring the potential of a Level-1 Data Scouting system for Phase-2 to allow physics analysis to be performed on all HL-LHC collisions using events reconstructed by the Level-1 Trigger. The student will develop algorithms in software and/or firmware for the data acquisition and real-time analysis, assess the physics sensitivity that can be achieved and the associated requirements on the system, and demonstrate the feasibility of the approach in the lab. The specifics of the algorithms and physics topics will be defined together with the university supervisor.
Qualifications
In order to qualify for a place on the programme you will need to meet the following requirements:

• This call is open to nationals of a CERN Member or Associate Member State and nationals of Non-Member States from Institutes in the LHC experiments collaborations.

• You have started or are about to start a doctoral programme in a university.

• Your work envisaged at CERN is all or part of the thesis work required to obtain your PhD. The award of the degree remains the responsibility of your university. Academic arrangements will be discussed between your university thesis supervisor and your CERN supervisor.

• You have a good knowledge of English OR French.

Additional Information
During your studies, CERN will provide you with:

• A contract of association for 12 months initially, renewable up to 3 years.

• The total period (up to 36 months) may be spread over a maximum duration of four consecutive years to allow you to spend time at your university (for periods of up to 12 months, granted as unpaid special leave).

• An allowance of 3891 Swiss Francs per month (net of tax).

• A travel allowance.

• Depending on your personal circumstances, a supplement if you are married and/or have children.

• Coverage by CERN’s comprehensive Health Insurance scheme (the contribution will be automatically deducted from your allowance).

The Division of Private Fundraising and Partnerships (PFP) aims to achieve results for children by maximizing UNICEF’s private fundraising and advocacy around the world. To carry out this mission, PFP coordinates fundraising activities and private sector partnerships with offices in over 50 countries.

The global team operates to support and enable countries in their fundraising, and this role works within that approach to support and develop the capabilities of teams, as well as supporting or leading the development of relevant global strategies. Individual Giving is one of UNICEF’s most critical sources of revenue and the PFP Individual Giving team, which this role would be part of, focuses on supporting countries to grow their individual giving revenue.
The PFP Individual Giving team based in Geneva is a lead participant in the Supporter Engagement Strategy, which aims to increase the global acquisition and engagement of UNICEF’s diverse supporter base, including donors, advocates, and volunteers. A key part of the strategy is to replace the incumbent CRM systems currently in place in 21 country offices with Salesforce-based technology, including in the EAP, ECA and LAC region.
How can you make a difference?

The Supporter Engagement Strategy (SES) Fundraising Specialist (CRM Success) will ensure that UNICEF offices that have gone live in the region with Salesforce / Marketing Cloud are able to maximize their fundraising performance by supporting them with all aspects of fundraising operations represented in the system.
At the point of hand over from the implementation team, the SES Fundraising Specialist will be responsible for the following: further refining business processes for maximum efficiency, prioritizing bugs or enhancement requests, data hygiene and standardization, maintaining discipline to required coding standards and reporting mechanisms, identifying new opportunities to add to the CORE UNICEF system, and ensuring that each office maintains a clear plan for further development of the system.
Scope of Work
1. Post-deployment support and maintenance of markets with entire SES Digital Platform

• Ensure that each UNICEF office using the SES platform is using the system as effectively as possible, in a compliant fashion and optimized for fundraising performance.

• Support the making of business decisions from fundraising/supporter experience and satisfaction viewpoints, taking cost and ROI into consideration to make recommendations to business and product owners where appropriate.

• Advise markets on ongoing data analytics workstreams such as rich data metrics and dashboards.

• Ensure offices use the system as it was designed, maintaining data hygiene, data standardization, coding structures, campaign hierarchies, and related business processes at all times.

• Ensure that offices adhere to standards by working closely with them and supporting any business process, or system changes required.

• Ensure that supporter data integrates in the right manner with Marketing Cloud to serve journeys.

• Support the development of supporter journeys through updating them and performing tests in collaboration with each office.

• Collaborate with markets, the Individual Giving Team (IG), wider UNICEF divisions (such as ICTD) and third-party vendors to ensure the best technology (and use thereof) maximizes Individual Giving performance.

• Provide ad-hoc training to users / offices as required.

2. Contribute to improvements on SES Digital Platform

• Identify and develop areas of business process improvement, or where local processes can be adapted to CORE functionality or propose enhancements to CORE.

• Identify opportunities to update/upgrade systems and platforms and develop the business case for doing so.

• Manage a clear plan for each office in the region for the development of the system and ensure that resources are available for delivery. Ongoing developments are planned and delivered to schedule.

• Track the global developments in fundraising and engagement platforms across the sector, and beyond, maintaining relationships with key contacts in the technology industry.

• Support the continual development of analytical models, including the introduction of AI technologies.

3. Delivery of support plan for stabilization of SES Digital Platform in
EAP: Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Philippines
ECA: Croatia, Bulgaria, Greece Romania, Serbia and the virtual HUB
LAC: Colombia, Chile, Uruguay and five additional Country Offices
4. Knowledge sharing between local markets and knowledge handover (technical manuals, and documentation on best practices and troubleshooting for maintenance / bug fixes / further improvements to the local platform).

Education:

• An advanced university degree in Business, Business Administration, Technology, Software, Marketing, or another relevant technical field is required.

Experience:

• A minimum of five (5) years progressive experience in the following fields: business analysis, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) implementations, IT system support / centre of excellence participation and / or ongoing system improvement such as training, testing, and identifying new requirements from a user base with a view to increasing performance is required.

• Experience in Salesforce Sales Cloud is required.

• Extensive experience using various testing methodologies to improve performance and achieve marketing objectives is required.

The role of UNIDIR is to support Member States, the UN and policy and research communities in advancing ideas and actions that contribute to a more sustainable and peaceful world. UNIDIR is based in the Palais des Nations, Geneva.
UNIDIR’s Gender and Disarmament Programme is looking for an intern to assist with research and support with implementation of programme activities. The overall objectives of the programme are to generate policy-relevant knowledge and to provide multilateral practitioners with practical tools in order to apply a gender perspective to the substance of their work.
Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of the Graduate Professional or their sponsoring institutions.
Responsibilities
Within UNIDIR’s Gender and Disarmament Programme, the Graduate Professional shall perform the following duties under the supervision of the Head of Programme:

• Background research

• Assisting in the planning and implementation of programme activities (e.g. meetings, workshops, conferences, field missions)

• Contributing to day-to-day tasks, including communication, coordination and administrative matters

• Performing other tasks, as required by programme staff

Key skills/interests

• Research and presentation

• Ability to synthesize information into concise, high-quality written briefs

• Organization and coordination of multiple tasks

• Interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills (written and oral)

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and InDesign

• Should have an interest in international peace and security, disarmament, gender issues and the work of the UN.

Qualifications and experience
Education
To qualify for the UNIDIR Graduate and Professional Programme (GPP), applicants must meet one of the following requirements:

• Be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or

• Have graduated with a university degree (second university degree, as defined above) and, if selected, must commence the GPP within a one-year period of graduation.

At UNIDIR, preference will be given to applicants with post-graduate degree qualifications relevant to space security-related issues, for instance in the fields of international relations, political science, international law or international security.
Work experience

• Applicants are not required to have professional work experience, however demonstrated experience or interest in conventional arms control will be considered an asset

• Shall be computer literate in standard software applications, including Microsoft Office and graphic design tools (e.g. InDesign)

• Have a demonstrated keen interest in the work of the UN and have a personal commitment to the ideals of the Charter

• Have a demonstrated ability to successfully interact with individuals of different cultural backgrounds and beliefs, which includes willingness to understand and be tolerant of differing opinions and views

Languages

• For the position advertised, fluency in English (both oral and written) is required

• Knowledge of at least one other official UN language is desirable

Welcome to the Research Fellowship : Experimental Physics.
The Research Fellowship Programme is aimed at PhD holders in the fields of experimental physics which have up to 6 years’ experience after obtaining their PhD degree. Research Fellowships are intended for PhD graduates looking to work in a research group.

Qualifications

In order to qualify for a place on the programme you will need to meet the following requirements:
• You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State. A limited number of positions are also available to candidates from Non-Member States.
• You have or are about to obtain, a PhD in particle physics or in a closely related discipline aligned with the physics programme of CERN’s experimental facilities. If you have not obtained your PhD yet the defense date should be already scheduled, and your PhD completed within 6 months after the deadline of the publication of this position. In any event, you should have finished your PhD studies by the time you take up your appointment at CERN.
• You have no more than 6 years’ research experience after completion of your PhD degree at the deadline of the publication of this position.
• Please note that CERN Staff members are not eligible to apply for a Fellowship.

Additional Information

CERN would very much like to benefit from your expertise, commitment and passion. In return, CERN will provide you with:
• An employment contract for typically 24 months. A small number of outstanding candidates will be offered a 36 month fellowship.
• A stipend ranging from 6,911 to 7,326 Swiss francs per month (net of tax).
• Coverage by CERN’s comprehensive health scheme (for yourself, your spouse and children), and membership of the CERN Pension Fund.
• Depending on your individual circumstances: an installation grant, family, child and infant allowances as well as travel expenses to and from Geneva.
• 2.5 days of paid leave per month.

Nous recherchons, un/une Client Relationship Officer (CRO) pour rejoindre le service Marché – Europe International – Core Operations de notre département Développement commercial. Vous aurez pour mission de gérer tous les aspects administratifs et opérationnels des activités bancaires quotidiennes, ainsi que de veiller à l’excellence opérationnelle des unités du front, afin d’assurer une expérience client de premier ordre.

Your role

• Etre l’interlocuteur/trice de référence pour toutes les demandes de nature opérationnelle émanant des gérants et des clients.

• Traiter les opérations de paiement et de transfert, en veillant à ce que les appels de vérification (call-back) soient effectués de manière systématique, et fournir un soutien pour les autres types de transactions, selon les besoins

• Traiter les demandes (codifications clients internes, cartes de crédit, limites de crédit, conditions spéciales, etc.) saisies dans les workflows correspondants et veiller à ce que les documents importants (mémos, ordres, instructions, etc.) soient bien enregistrés dans les systèmes concernés.

• Faciliter chacune des étapes du processus d’ouverture de compte en faisant attention aux prescriptions réglementaires locales et à leur incidence sur les exigences documentaires.

• Assurer un suivi rigoureux de la documentation (suspens, documents demandés par le Middle Office, listes de points à traiter émises par le département Risk & Compliance) et, dans ce cadre, contacter les clients internes.

• Gérer le flux documentaire (archivage, traitement des formulaires physiques et électroniques).

• Travailler en étroite coordination avec le Business Risk Manager de la zone de marché concernée pour toutes les questions liées à la gestion des risques et à la compliance.

• Bien connaître les principaux partenaires internes (fichier central, équipes du Middle Office, fonctions Risk & Control, etc.). Etablir avec eux d’étroites relations et être pour eux l’interlocuteur/trice de référence au sein de l’équipe concernée.

• Veiller à ce que la prise des appels téléphoniques soit assurée au sein de l’équipe et fournir un soutien pour les tâches administratives.

• Appliquer les politiques et directives en vigueur et accompagner la mise en œuvre de nouvelles règles.

Your profile

• Bachelor ou diplôme équivalent.

• Expérience de 5 ans dans les opérations bancaires et dans la gestion des relations avec des clients privés et de soutien à des gérants.

• Très bonne connaissance des dispositifs et prescriptions réglementaires (activités transfrontalières, gestion des risques et compliance, personnes politiquement exposées/PEP, relations à risques accrus, FATCA, Norme commune de déclaration de l’OCDE, etc.).

• Grande aisance à communiquer, aussi bien à l’oral qu’à l’écrit, et maîtrise des techniques de présentation.

• Sens développé des responsabilités, résistance au stress et capacité à mener plusieurs tâches de front.

• Sens du service à la clientèle.

• Discrétion et respect de la confidentialité.

• Solide esprit d’équipe.

• Fiabilité dans les contrôles; sens de l’initiative et volonté de trouver des solutions.

• Excellente maîtrise du français, de l’anglais et de l’espagnole, tant à l’écrit qu’à l’oral. Italien: un atout.
