Don’t be shy, apply!As Swissquote continues to expand itsdigital assets custodyactivities, we are looking for aSenior Software Engineerto join our Software Engineering Infrastructure Department.You will be part of the team developing and maintaining ourcustody, staking, and liquidity managementsolutions — core components of Swissquote’s digital asset ecosystem.Beyond pure development, you will play a key coordination role, ensuring smooth alignment between engineers, internal stakeholders (Compliance, ALM, Risk, IT-Sec, Business), and external partners.Your technical expertise and communication skills will help bridge business requirements, regulatory constraints, and engineering realities to deliver secure, compliant, and efficient solutions.Your ResponsibilitiesParticipate actively in thedesign, development, and deliveryof backend services for custody, wallets, staking, and liquidity management (mainly inJava / Spring Boot).Act as acoordination pointwithin the team: clarify requirements, track progress, and ensure consistency between product, engineering, and external vendors.Translate evolvingbusiness and regulatory needsinto clear and actionable technical tasks.Collaborate closely with Compliance, Risk, and ALM to anticipate regulatory impacts on existing systems and propose pragmatic technical solutions.Maintain alignment with external partners (custodians, staking providers, blockchain analytics vendors) to ensure successful integrations and smooth operations.Support project planning and delivery follow-up in collaboration with the Program Manager and Product Owners.Contribute to continuous improvement of internal tools, documentation, and delivery processes.Maintain a strong focus onquality, security, and operational reliabilityof the custody systems.Qualifications5+ years of experiencein backend software engineering, ideally within abanking, fintech, or digital assetsenvironment.Strong command ofJava (Spring Boot),REST APIs, andSQL.Solid understanding ofsoftware lifecycle managementand collaborative delivery in multi-stakeholder environments.Proven ability tocoordinate between teams, manage evolving requirements, and maintain alignment in dynamic or regulated contexts.Excellent communication and analytical skills — able to challenge and clarify complex functional or regulatory topics.Interest or experience indigital assets, blockchain technologies, or staking infrastructure.Fluent inEnglish(French is an asset).Why Join UsYou’ll contribute directly to the foundation ofSwissquote’s digital asset infrastructure, working at the crossroads of technology, regulation, and innovation.This role is ideal for aseasoned engineerwho enjoys technical work but thrives in environments wherecoordination, adaptability, and clarityare just as essential as code quality.
