Our unique Universal Learning Programme, co-designed with UNESCO's International Bureau of Education, seeks to anchor learning in deep conceptual understanding and the assessment of Ecolint's global competences, to ensure that the outcome of learning makes some positive social impact.Please note that only applications via our website will be consideredhttps://www.ecolint.ch/en/job-opportunitiesTo complete our team, we are looking for several:English and Humanities TeachersThe Middle School is seeking committed and inspiring English and Humanities teachers forYears 7 and 8.ResponsibilitiesTo teach English and Humanities (History/Geography) to students in Years 7-8, as a member of a core interdisciplinary team.Planning and teaching creative, challenging and inspiring learning experiences, allowing for the development of student agency and giving place to student-directed learning.Cooperate and collaborate with colleagues on the preparation and development of teaching materials, team planning, teaching programs and methods.Assume pedagogical supervision and follow-up of students, as well as their well-being, monitoring attendance and reporting absences.Provide and contribute to oral and written assessments and report on individual students.Participate in professional development appropriate to the Foundation's objectives and the teacher's needs and goals.Supervise students as reasonably required.Be willing to play an active role in the wider life of the school.Candidate requirementsTeaching qualification as well as degree in English or Humanities or related field.At least two years experience working with Middle School age studentsExcellent command of EnglishKnowledge of other languages (notably French) desirableExcellent classroom management and organisational skillsExcellent understanding and use of ICT in the classroomStrong interpersonal and communication skills to build positive relationships in multicultural environments with students, parents, and colleaguesEnthusiasm and creativity with a passion for teaching and learning and a drive to achieve the highest possible standards for all studentsExperience using data to inform and improve instructional practices and student outcomesCommitment to continuous professional development and lifelong learningA dynamic teacher who can provide a variety of student-centred activities and tasks for our diverse and inclusive learner communityA willingness to contribute to curriculum and assessment designCandidates are requested to apply online, attaching their CV, three references (one of which must be from their current or most recent employer, who can be contacted should the candidate be selected for an interview), and a covering letter.
