The EPFL campus offers an exceptional working environment at the heart of a community of more than 17,000 people, including over 12,500 students and 4,000 researchers from more than 120 different countries.Infrastructure Project Assistant 80-100%MissionUnder the supervision of the Head of Infrastructure of the School of Engineering (STI), you will support the coordination of infrastructure activities, with a focus on lab installation requests, space measurements, onboarding of new research groups, and follow-up of small construction or relocation tasks.Your role is essential to ensuring smooth operations across the faculty by providing meticulous, reliable, and service-oriented support.Main duties and responsibilities1. Project & Technical Administrative Support:Assist in processing lab installation requests: collect missing information, verify technical needs, prepare templates and checklists.Conduct basic space measurements (m², furniture footprint, access points) and prepare simple layout sketches.Support in preparing documents for small renovation or modification works (plans, descriptions, photos).Follow up with internal stakeholders (DSE, technical services, users) to ensure tasks progress.2. Coordination of Moves, Space & Access:Support lab and office moves (collect needs, coordinate dates, update layouts).Manage furniture requests, deliveries, and installation follow-up.Prepare and update space allocation records in STI-IN tools.Manage access rights to buildings, labs, and shared facilities (collect information, submit requests, track status).3. Onboarding Support for New Professors & Groups:Assist in preparing onboarding packages.Coordinate initial lab setup needs (first equipment, access, signage, room allocation).Document and track all actions to ensure a smooth integration.4.
