CDR-Life is an innovative biotech company based in Horgen, Zurich where we develop novel immunotherapies against cancer and autoimmune disease based on our unique T-cell engager technology. It is a dynamic perimetre-driven company with a highly collaborative approach.
To ensure the optimal operations of our R&D activities we are looking for a committed:
Lab Operations Associate (100%)
Supporting our daily lab operations activities crucial to our success
We are offering an exciting, hands-on position for a motivated professional eager to support our dynamic R&D environment. As a Lab Support at CDR-Life, you will contribute to both laboratory operations and purchasing activities by performing a variety of technical and administrative tasks that ensure smooth and efficient lab workflows. Working side-by-side with our laboratory manager, you will form a strong team to ensure all support tasks are covered seamlessly. The role is ideal for someone with a service-oriented mindset, a proactive attitude, and the flexibility to adapt to evolving project needs. The proposed starting date for the position is October 2026.
Key Responsibilities

Purchase standard laboratory consumables and liaise with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement

Manage and monitor standard consumables stock, maintain inventory records of general chemicals and consumables

Organize national and international shipments of materials and samples, including preparing documentation and coordinating couriers

Handle incoming parcels and deliveries, ensuring correct receipt and handover to internal stakeholders

Ensure glassware cleaning, autoclaving, laboratory waste management

Monitor and prepare standard solutions (e.g. Buffer, Media, Agar Plates etc.)

Support coordination of equipment maintenance in collaboration with responsible scientists
Who you are

Education (bachelor’s degree or completed apprenticeship) in a relevant field with biological or chemical background and work background in a lab environment. This position is best suited for candidates whose education and experience align with hands-on laboratory practice rather than advanced academic research.

Around 3 years of experience in a life science laboratory setting.

Fluency in English (written and spoken, official Company Language); conversational German.

Experience with lab purchasing/procurement is a plus.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Service-oriented mindset, strong team collaboration skills, and an openness to sharing knowledge and learning from feedback in a team environment.

Reliable, proactive, and positive work ethic; even when performing routine tasks such as autoclaving or glassware cleaning.

Willing and able to work primarily on-site, given the hands-on nature of the role.
