The Department of Biochemistry has an opening for a Scientific Collaborator 2 in a highly dynamic and stimulating research environment, recognized for its excellence in interdisciplinary research of fundamental biological processes at all scales of life.
Description
The successful candidate will develop automated image analysis methods, software, and pipelines.
The position includes responsibility for teaching computational methods at Bachelor’s level in biochemistry, as well as training department members in image analysis, in French and English. It also involves managing the department’s computer equipment.
Requirements
Candidates who have pursued recognized research in quantitative biology, physics or computer science with in-depth expertise in image analysis are encouraged to apply. We are looking for candidates with expertise in automated image analysis and artificial intelligence methods to support the department’s groups in the analysis of light microscopy data, including total internal reflection fluorescence microscopy, lattice light sheet microscopy, expansion microscopy, and correlative electron and fluorescence microscopy. Experience in microscope maintenance would be an asset.
FORMAL REQUIREMENTS:
PhD degree or equivalent.
